Renee Perle

In my dorm room at college I used to construct a huge collage of all these small pictures of inspiration that I printed off from my computer. They ranged from various runway shots I loved,to shots of my favorite bands, favorite magazine editiorials, and everything in between. One picture of a woman reclining on a couch I found so compelling. I didn't really know much about it- didn't know the photographer much less than the woman subject. With a little bit of digging I found out that she was Renee Perle- gorgeous Parisienne & a wealth of style and inspiration to me (and John Galliano)!







The bedroom eyes, perfectly waved hair, piles upon piles of bangles, little bow lips...




(The last picture is the aforementioned one that graced my wall for years.)

Christian Dior: couture fall 2008

I am beyond stunned and obsessed with this diaphanous creation Mr. Galliano sent down the catwalk (though I could do without the chunky necklace. I think that coupled with the statement waist cinching belt is a tad too much).

As anyone who knows me in "real life" can attest, I have an affinity for anything sheer. If I had the funds, you better believe I'd be wearing this ALL THE TIME. You really must go to dior.com and watch the couture video to see this gown in action. A simple photograph hardly does it justice.

monday bloody monday

Benedryl haze is coming on and that can only mean one thing...back to nyc at the glorious hour of 6 am tomorrow !

As an aside, these two pics of model/ all around cool chick Valentine Fillol-Cordier illustrate the sartorial vibe I'm feeling as of late.
